Ranjit Prakash has more than 30 years of experience in private legal practice during which he has served as a Partner/ Senior Partner in many leading law firms in India. Ranjit founded Archeus Law in 2016 and is currently the firm’s Managing Partner in which he maintains clients exclusively – customised, international arbitration counsel and project advisor.

Ranjit has a singular industry reputation in terms of the complex projects including large- scale energy EPC contracts and infrastructure contracts, contracts in advising in seamless sequence in the entire gamut of a project leading to commencing other infrastructure projects, he has acted on PPP / DBFOT projects across India and Southeast Asian region. He has been involved in acting in, leading and advocating as well as advising in cases of multi-disciplinary projects worldwide, which cumulatively exceed USD 10 billion in aggregate value.

During the Covid-19 pandemic “lockdown” periods, Ranjit advised numerous key infrastructure clients and projects across India, Indonesia, and Bangladesh. Ranjit prefers to help his clients resolve their conflicts and reach agreements without expensive, time-consuming litigation.

Arun is a founding member and Senior Partner with Archeus Law and heads the firm’s Project Advisory and Infrastructure practice. Arun has a professional experience of more than 17 years. In his current role, Arun has been actively involved with diverse assignments in the infrastructure sector, in particular dealing with EPC Contract Management and Project Advisory, legal and commercial due diligence of PPP transactions and bid process management. Arun specializes in contract management and has advised on major mega power projects and some of the key metro rail and highway projects in India for varied stakeholders including the government developers and private contractors.

Particularly in the contract management and project advisory space, Arun has advised on various facets of the project including investments and structuring, project financing, drafting and review of EPC contracts
and project documents, due diligence of vendors and sub-contractors, contracts negotiations with various project stakeholders, advisory on forestry, land and labour laws, providing guidance on contract matters to project managers or other operational staff, including training to personnel on different legal and commercial aspects of the project with respect to practices and procedures.

Previously, Arun was a Partner with HSA Advocates in their Infrastructure, Project Advisory, and Dispute Resolution team. Before that, he was a junior lawyer in the chambers of Mr. C.S. Vaidyanathan, Senior Advocate (former Additional Solicitor General of India).

Rajdeep is a commercial litigation and arbitration lawyer. He appears in all High Courts in India, the Supreme Court of India and statutory tribunals such as the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT).

Rajdeep also appears in arbitrations governed by the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (“the ACA”) and all the main rules, including those of the SIAC, HKIAC, ICC, LCIA, and UNCITRAL.
Rajdeep advises and represents all stakeholders in disputes arising in a range of industries, including oil and gas, power, commodities, transportation, and trade. This includes owners, contractors, consultants, insurers, operators, suppliers, lenders and offtakers.

Rajdeep acts as an arbitrator and is an empanelled arbitrator with multiple arbitral institutions. Rajdeep is admitted as an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).

  • Acted for Indian and Dutch companies in multiple international commercial arbitrations seated in London, U.K., and Dubai under the UNCITRAL arbitral rules arising out of oil and gas exploration and
    production project and oil pipeline project in Africa.
  • Acted for a major engineering consortium in ad hoc arbitration proceedings under the ACA seated in India against an Indian exploration company arising out of an EPC contract for an offshore wellhead platform located in the Exclusive Economic Zone of India.
  • Acted for an Indian solar power producer in an international commercial arbitration seated in Singapore under the rules of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre arising out of a procurement contract with a manufacturer of solar PV modules.
  • Acted for an Indo-Korean joint venture in ad hoc arbitration proceedings under the ACA seated in India arising out of contracts for construction of strategic oil reserve storage caverns in India.
  • Advised a European oil and gas exploration and production company in relation to disputes with the Government of India and venture partners arising out of a production sharing contract and a joint operating agreement for onshore fields in India.

Anshuman is a Partner at Archeus Law and has been with the firm since its inception. He specialises in Arbitration, Litigation and Insolvency.

Anshuman has extensive experience in the Energy, Infrastructure and Construction Disputes practice. With a focus on complex technical matters, he has successfully represented a wide variety of stakeholders, including project proponents (both public and private), contractors, and lenders. His areas of specialisation also include insolvency, mining, and general commercial litigation. He appears frequently before several judicial and quasi-judicial forums across the country, as well as in international arbitrations.

He is also associated with Archeus Law’s project management team, assisting clients with infrastructure projects by bringing his experience in the sector into play. These include drafting of agreements and general advisory services relating to the fields of industrial, labour, and environmental laws.

Rohan is a Principal Associate at the Dispute Resolution and Litigation team of Archeus Law, New Delhi. He has extensive experience in handling a wide range of commercial disputes. Notably, he has represented clients in ad-hoc and institutional arbitrations, special leave petitions, suits, writ petitions, and in matters before various courts and tribunals such as the Supreme Court of India, the High Court of Delhi, NCDRC, NCLT, NCLAT, and DIAC.

In addition, he has actively participated in research and drafting related to contentious pleadings before high courts and the apex court of India for clients from various industries and sectors, including building and construction, aviation, electricity generation, and hospitality. Such experience has helped develop his professional skills in handling disputes at various stages of legal proceedings such as admission, evidence, cross-examinations, submissions, and arguments before different courts and tribunals.

Abhinav is a Principal Associate at Archeus Law in Delhi and has spent 8 years in the profession. He is a part of the Infrastructure and Dispute Resolution team at the firm. Prior to that, he was working in the field of criminal and civil litigation in the chambers of Mr. Amit Anand Tiwari, Advocate-on-Record Supreme Court of India (Additional Advocate General, State of Tamil Nadu), a litigation office situated in New Delhi. He has been primarily involved in matters relating to contract management, and dispute resolution matters in the field of infrastructure projects – predominantly power, metro rail and highway projects.

He is working presently on matters relating to contract management, dispute resolution (domestic and international), and insolvency, in the field of infrastructure projects – predominantly power, metro rail, and highway projects. He also carries experience in advising clients on general legal matters associated with project management and pre-dispute advisory services. In addition, he has dealt with matters pertaining to white-collar, electricity laws, service laws, civil disputes, matrimonial disputes, environmental laws, etc., before the forums like the Supreme Court of India, various High Courts, Administrative Tribunal, Regulatory authorities, etc.

Abhinav has been practicing law since 2014. He is enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi and holds a B.A. LLB (Hons.) degree from the College of Legal Studies, University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, Dehradun.

Apara is a Senior Associate at Archeus Law in the Delhi office. She has been practicing law since 2017, having spent 5 years in the profession. She is enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi. She is a part of the Dispute Resolution team in the firm and is presently working on matters related to both domestic and international disputes, especially in the field of infrastructure and construction. She has also been primarily involved in matters relating to contract management, pre-dispute, and project advisory for various projects in the firm.

Prior to joining Archeus Law in December 2021, she was working in the domain of civil and criminal litigation at Singh Law Chambers and Veritas in New Delhi. She holds an experience in advising clients on diverse fields pertaining to constitutional law, service matters, family disputes, economic offences, consumer laws etc. She has been appearing before different forums like the Supreme Court of India, High Courts, and other tribunals.
